Systems thinking

In general, systems thinking is about reasoning about complexity in a holistic way. If you think about our exploration of value in the previous principle, our approach was a holistic one, as expected in systems thinking.

Systems thinking is a wide and relatively complicated topic because of the non-linear interactions within systems. Its most important aspects in project management, in my opinion, are these two:

  • Be a critical thinker.
  • Think holistically.
